The university will close at 5pm on Thursday 23 December and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 4 January. The Student Life Building will be open 24/7 throughout the festive break including on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
During week commencing Monday 3 February 2020, LJMU will be taking part in National Student Money Week. The theme for this year is 'Spend Healthy, Live Healthy: Sustainable Money' and during the week we will focus on reducing waste and saving money.

We are delighted to welcome international representatives from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE) to join in this important conversation, as part of their 140th year celebrations. The aim of this event is to bring together key stakeholders from the university, industry, government and accreditation bodies to start the conversation on this topic and consider next steps in our goal to work with stakeholders to lead the way for diversity and inclusion in engineering and technology skills in the North West.
