It is composed of researchers with a range of research backgrounds, methodological approaches and expertise drawn from both UK and international contexts.

6. Centre for Port and Maritime History

   The Centre for the Port and Maritime History focuses on port cities and examines their relationship to maritime ventures and enterprise. Research examines: urban history, British merchant marine advertising, Liverpool and the British Empire in the eighteenth and twentieth centuries.

8. Centre for Port and Maritime History people and expertise

   The Centre undertakes historical research on port cities and examines their relationship to maritime ventures and enterprise.

9. Centre for Port and Maritime History Projects and Exhibitions

   LJMU’s CPMH members have contributed to or curated several exhibitions and are currently involved in exciting new and inter-disciplinary projects, including one centred on the Battle of the Atlantic 80th Anniversary Celebrations.
