1. LJMU donates £10,000 to local charity

   LJMU has donated £10,000 to a local charity on the back of the National Student Survey (NSS) 2022.

2. Student Spotlight: Abbie Romano

   The representations of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) roles is improving, but there’s work to be done. As of 2018, WISE Campaign (Women into Science and Engineering) announced that the UK is on track to have one million women working in the field by 2020. These statistics are encouraging, and demonstrate an improvement in opportunities shown to young women who pursue the career path.

3. MA WRITING students offer short and powerful insights into life in Liverpool

   Liverpool 500 was part of the LJMU MA Writing program and has been shared with Liverpool in Australia a collaboration which forms part of LJMUs Liverpool 2 Liverpool project with University of Wollongongs Liverpool Campus in Sydney.

4. Unitemps LJMU named 'Branch of the Year'

   LJMU’s on campus recruitment agency, Unitemps, has won ‘Branch of the Year’ at the Unitemps Annual Awards 2024.

5. More than 300 students get health and wellbeing boost with sport nutrition support

   1-2-1 practical sessions led by LJMU sport nutrition specialists and student interns.

6. LJMU ranked one of the top 10 best UK universities in StudentCrowd Awards 2022

   Based on online reviews over the past two years, LJMU is ranked as the 6th best UK university according to the StudentCrowd awards 2022.
