8. Empower the Next Generation: Host a Work Experience Placement

   This May, June or July, the Diversity and Inclusion team is looking for staff and teams to host local pupils in year 10, 11 and 12 for work experience placements at the university.

9. Care experienced girls and young women still at risk of unnecessary criminalisation

   Girls and women who have been through the care system should be diverted away from custodial sentences into community alternatives wherever possible, says a new report published today (Weds 4 May 2022). And the study adds that moves to prevent the criminalisation of girls in care need to be high on the agenda for change.
