1. Our Bicentenary in 200 seconds...

   As 2023 draws to a close, we’re reflecting on what an incredible year it has been for LJMU, as we mark 200 years of the institution.

2. LJMU relations with Nepal strengthened after researchers meet with President

   Researchers from LJMU have met with the President of Nepal, the Right honourable Bidhya Devi Bhandari, to discuss issues relating to education, gender, women's rights and social justice. Dr Sara Parker from Sociology, School of Humanities and Social Science and Rose Khatri from the Centre for Public Health recently met with the President and spoke for almost two hours.

3. Fancy a Pint of Science?

   Academics and postgraduate students from across LJMU are set to share their research as part of the Pint of Science festival.

4. World education for safe water resources

   Professor Rafid Al Khaddar recently became the 29th President of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM).

5. Graduate Jason Arday is youngest Black Cambridge professor

   PhD and lecturer in Sociology and Education is one of the LJMU 200 People for our Bicentenary in 2023

6. LJMU joins Higher Education, Transnational Education (TNE) mission to Vietnam and Cambodia

   During the mission, LJMU were able to showcase their University offerings, meet with the UK Ambassador to Vietnam, Gareth Ward, and hold business to business meetings to ignite discussions surrounding the development of transnational education opportunities.

8. Over 10,000 students graduate from LJMU

   Over 10,000 LJMU students from the Class of 2021 and 2022 have graduated over the past fortnight at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral.

9. Hundreds of local school pupils get taste of university

   LJMU welcomed almost five hundred Year 11 pupils to its Future Focus Days as part of the Universitys sustained widening access programme, giving young people an insight into the opportunities Higher Education can offer.
