  2. Vice-Chancellor appointed Chairman of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic

    LJMU Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive, Professor Nigel Weatherill, has been appointed Chairman of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. The announcement of Professor Weatherill’s appointment as Chair for an initial three-year term has been made following approval of the recommendation by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Board of Directors.

  3. Student finance reminder

    If you are an undergraduate student and are continuing on your course in September 2019, don’t forget to reapply for your student finance as soon as possible.

    Researchers have shown that, contrary to previous arguments, great apes do have control over their voice, and can learn how to ‘speak,’ throwing new light on the evolution of speech.
