1. LJMU Assessment 4 – 14 January 2022

   As we approach our assessment period early next year, this note is to provide you with important preparation information and to confirm that exams will take place in person (with the exception of Levels 3 and 4).

2. Finance policy updates

   The University Financial Regulations and other supporting policies have received important updates. Read the latest from Finance Director Hannah Argo.

3. Your LJMU January exam timetable

   LJMU’s assessment period will run from Wednesday 4 – Friday 13 January 2023 and personalised exam timetables are now available to view online.

4. Mersey Youth Rowing's First Training Workshop with LJMU's Performance Sports Department

   The Performance Sports Department hosted Mersey Youth Rowing's inaugural training workshop. The program, developed by Warrington Rowing Club, promotes diversity in rowing and imparts vital life skills. Coached by experts including Dr. Tim Donovan and Professor Graeme Close, the workshop equips youth rowers with essential knowledge for their competitive journey.

6. Paid Discovery Internships for level 5 and 6 students

   The final round of Discovery Internships for this academic year is open for applications from second (level 5) and final year (level 6) students.

7. North West Higher Education Action Learning Programme

   LJMU are offering up to ten places for women working in academic and professional services roles to take part in cross institutional action learning sets with peers from universities in the North West region.

8. Empower Programme for students on the Autism spectrum

   The NHS Merseyside Health Sector Career and Engagement Hub is running the Empower programme - a pre-employment transition workshop for second and final year LJMU students on the Autism spectrum.

9. Admissions Policy update

   The LJMU Admissions Policy has recently undergone some minor amendments and the updated version can be found in the Policy Centre.

10. Black History Month through the eyes of a local Liverpool pupil

    This month Ceana Khonje, a local pupil from Belvedere College in Liverpool took on a work experience placement here at LJMU.
