   LJMU student Victoria Smith, 24 was shortlisted for the Tourism Young Person of the Year award at this years Liverpool City Region Tourist Awards 2022. The awards, that took place at Liverpool Cathedral, saw businesses and guests from across Liverpool celebrating the city regions tourism sector.

7. LJMU Cycling Club ride Liverpool to Paris distance in 24-hour fundraiser

   LJMU Cycling Club took part in a non-stop 24-hour ride last week, raising over £200 for the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

10. LJMU wins funding for 200 new Degree Apprenticeships under Government initiative

    LJMU will be opening its doors to an extra 200 new employer-supported Degree Apprentices in September 2017, after being only one of 18 universities to secure part of a multimillion pound Government fund.
