1. Restrictions on using USBs for students and staff

   From 4 September students will be no longer able to use USB storage devices on LJMU equipment. This is alongside the restrictions already in place for staff.

3. Alpine F1 performance coach and jet lag doctoral researcher visits LJMU ahead of new Formula 1 season

   Sport and Exercise Science Professional Doctorate student, Tom Clark, visited LJMU last week in preparation for the start of the new Formula 1 season and to discuss his jet lag research. Tom has spent the past four years working with the Alpine F1 team and specifically their driver Esteban Ocon.

6. Faculty of Health sets out its ambitions

The faculty hosted a relaunch event this week to showcase its state-of-the-art new facilities and set out its ambitions for the coming years.

   LJMU will celebrate the inspirational achievements of 17 new honorary fellows in a special ceremony later this year.

8. Support for Young Adult Carers

   On national Young Carers Awareness Day, LJMU announced an official package of specialised support to ensure young carers are able to benefit from the advantages a university education can provide.

9. LJMU fashion and broadcast staff raise career aspirations of local schoolchildren

   Cathy Reilly, fashion design and manufacture technologist, and Bradley Hessey, an experienced broadcast technologist , joined schoolchildren from St Leo’s School in Whiston during their Ambition Week.

10. LJMU wins University of the Year at Educate North Awards

    Liverpool John Moores University scooped University of the Year at the Educate North Awards 2017.
