1. Staff update on Freshers activities 2023

   LJMU and JMSU are gearing up for another action-packed Freshers period, here's some of the key things to expect.

2. Times Higher Award shortlisting for ‘star-shattering’ research project

   New technology using Artificial Intelligence alongside the famous Liverpool Telescope (LT), has been shortlisted for a Times Higher Education Award for Research Project of the Year 2017.

3. UKRI open access monograph funding changes

   A reminder that UKRI has recently announced their guidance and requirements with regards to publishing open access monographs, which come into place from 1 January 2024.

4. Psychology student Charlotte and her Discovery Internship experience

   Discovery Internships are open for applications now until 4 December for second and final year students. Psychology student Charlotte Ilderton explains why she applied to complete an internship alongside her studies at LJMU and how you can too.

5. New mental wellbeing peer support

   We have a new team in place to help support any member of staff with their mental wellbeing. The LJMU Connectors are on hand to provide peer support and make sure colleagues have access to the appropriate resources and services.
