1. Get involved in the British Science Festival 2025

   The British Science Festival is coming to Liverpool in 2025 and organisations across the city can get involved to deliver engaging events and activities.

2. Free student transport to our Freshers Fair

   Free coach and Merseyrail train travel to and from the event.

3. Research active staff urged to join focus groups

   Research active staff are being invited, by the LJMU Concordat Steering Group, to participate in a focus group on the research environment and culture at LJMU.

4. Resurfacing works affecting Mount Pleasant Campus (17-21 February)

   Please be aware that restrictions are in place over the next week around our Mount Pleasant Campus due to resurfacing works.

5. LJMU donates 3,000 items to ease city's 'furniture poverty'

   LJMU has been helping to end furniture poverty for hundreds of local groups.

6. Disability History Month at LJMU

   Disability History Month begins today (16 November – 16 December) and our Disabled Staff Network, EDI team and JMSU will be hosting an event on Friday 2 December.

7. Pandemics and public health: have we found our new normal? - Conan Leavey and Graeme Mitchell, Public Health Institute, LJMU

   It was only a relatively short time ago - in March this year - that the World Health Organisation declared Covid-19 a pandemic. We know now that it is likely to be many, many months before the UK pronounces its outbreak over; and certainly years before it is over globally.

8. Inclusive Allyship Programme (In Association With The Challenging Racism Webinar Series)

   Following the Challenging Racism Collaborative Campaign (webinar series), the University of Kent, Liverpool John Moores University and City, University of London are working with Inclusive Employers to deliver a virtual, Inclusive Allyship Programme.
