The Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Science areas of expertise are organised into research groups and exchanges which focus on the following: biomechanics, cardiovascular health, exercise metabolism, brain and behaviour, physical activity, sport psychology and football-related research.
PhD students within the Research Centre for Brain and Behaviour are working on interesting projects including: investigating pain in autism, the impact of taste, and pain mechanisms.
The Industrial Design Group has been focusing on human-centred design research that applying Human Factors theory to optimise human well-being and overall system performance.
