   As graduation week ended, the final graduands of July 2019 arrived at Liverpool Cathedral with their friends and families to receive their awards.

3. US soccer sport scientist shares insight from across the pond

   LJMU graduate, doctoral researcher and US Soccer sport scientist Patrick Mannix shared his expert insight with students as he returned to his educational roots in the city.

4. Meet the electric Formula Student team heading to Silverstone this summer

   Intrepid engineering students are hoping to race LJMUs first electric racing car around the world-famous Formula 1 track in July.

5. Black History Month through the eyes of a local Liverpool pupil

   This month Ceana Khonje, a local pupil from Belvedere College in Liverpool took on a work experience placement here at LJMU.

6. Critically Thinking About Race, Religion and Belief/Non Belief

   LJMU invited speakers from different backgrounds to discuss their views on the issues that are still apparent in today’s society. The conference, Critically Thinking About Race, Religion and Belief/Non Belief was presented to a packed lecture theatre of academics, students and professionals.

7. What does 'Trans Visibility' mean and why is it so important?

   We caught up with Oli Fitzsimmons, Trans and Non-Binary Part-Time Officer at John Moores Students Union, following Trans Day of Visibility, to hear from him on what an inclusive LJMU community looks like.

8. Reciprocal Mentoring Programme involving BAME Staff, Black Students and Senior Leaders

   Given the success of last year's pilot, we are running the LJMU Reciprocal Mentoring Programme again and we are extending it to include BAME staff from across the institution. The programme is open to all LJMU Senior Staff from Director Level of non BAME Background and to BAME staff from non-Director Level and to Black Students from all Faculties.

9. We interview the ISOC society during Islamophobia Awareness Month.

   Julia Daer, EDI Advisor and Ambar Ennis, VP Community and Wellbeing (JMSU) caught up with Khayyam Butt, President of the JMSU Islamic Society (ISOC), during Islamophobia Awareness Month.
