Niamh is a professional footballer and was in the history making Lionesses squad, the England women’s football team, that made it to the final of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. She’s an alumna from our School of Sport and Exercise Sciences and was supported during her studies as a Sports Scholar.
It is essential to decarbonise transport and logistics, one of the largest sources of greenhouse-gases emission, to save the planet. The big question to researchers, and indeed to humanity, is how to decarbonise transport and logistics effectively.
Catherine is a Professor of Creative Writing and Associate Dean Research at LJMU and in 2023 released her own memoir documenting her family’s move to Australia for a better future, as many Brits did in the ‘50s and ‘60s. With the help of an LJMU grant she was able to travel to her parents native Yorkshire to conduct research for the book, bringing a personal perspective on migration to audiences around the world.
