1. Staff event at Student Life Building

   Our next staff open day at the Student Life Building takes place on Wednesday 24 November, with networking opportunities, a chance to find out more about the building and its services, plus a free lunch.

2. Student Led European Youth Parliament Regional Debating Event

   A European Youth Parliament (EYP) regional debating event was hosted on campus on Wednesday 28 February, organised by LJMU students Rachael Carroll and Zoe Woodward.

   Staff and student homepages get new look and feel with improvements in access to news, announcements and quick links

4. An afternoon with an astronaut

   Over 300 attendees from across Liverpool attended an ‘Afternoon with Helen Sharman ‘to listen to the inspiring story of what it was really like to become the first British astronaut in space.

5. Get involved with the Great British Beach Clean

   Friday 20 September from 10am to 11.30pm at West Kirby beach.

6. Come and cheer on Team LJMU at the 2024 Lord Mayor's Dragon Boat Race

   LJMU are the main sponsor of this years’ event and three staff teams will compete on Sunday 12 May.

7. Could your team offer a work experience placement?

   Our work experience programme is looking for expressions of interest from staff and teams across the university for a Year 10 pupil to undertake a placement within your department.

8. Take part in a focus group with the Careers Team and get a £10 Amazon voucher

   The Careers Team would really like to hear your views on the careers services offered by the Careers Team to final year students and graduates.

9. LJMU team takes on Kilimanjaro

   A team of 17 self-named Kilimanscousers including LJMU Students, LJMU alumni and Liverpool professionals will climb Kilmanjaro this August.

10. LJMU Staff Networks move to Teams

    From this month the process to join a staff network has moved to the LJMU website and Microsoft Teams, making it even easier to join one of LJMU’s staff networks
