   LJMU welcomed hundreds of investors, entrepreneurs and policymakers to a summit to conclude the Liverpool City Region’s first ever Innovation Investment Week.

   LJMU has been given a Best Partnership Working Award by Liverpool City Council for the university’s ‘Intern to Work’ project.

   LJMU has risen two places in the overall rankings and is placed in the top 10 for its accommodation, course quality, employability and student life.

   To streamline our process for recruitment and selection of staff, we are now using the Hireserve hiring manager portal.

5. Representing the UK at European University Film Awards

   As the only UK university LJMU was one of 13 European universities to participate in this year’s first European University Film Awards(EUFA).

6. Sexual Violence Awareness Week

   Throughout Sexual Violence Awareness Week (Monday 4th – Sunday 10th February), a new team of staff from Student Advice and Wellbeing Services were out and about across the University to talk to students and staff about the impact sexual violence and harassment has on individuals and communities

7. LJMU accelerating partnership talks with FPT School of Business & Technology (FSB), Hanoi

   The Head of International Partnerships and International Partnerships Manager held talks in Hanoi with representatives of FPT School of Business & Technology to support the development of LJMU's Transnational education ventures in Vietnam.

8. Professor Alison Ewing is announced as winner of the UKCPA Lifetime Achievement Award 2018

   The UK Clinical Pharmacy Association (UKCPA) recently presented their prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for 2018 to Professor Alison Ewing.

9. Knitting together different generations

   A special handmade LFC inspired banner was unveiled at the Museum of Liverpool, which has been created by local children and older persons from the areas surrounding Anfield Stadium, as part of an LJMU intergenerational project – the Sustainable Skills Café.
