  1. Reverend Canon Dr Ellen Loudon

    From drama student to priest and Christian activist, Ellen Loudon is an inspiring alumna who in her role as Canon Chancellor of Liverpool Cathedral joins our annual graduation ceremonies, celebrating the opportunities that gaining a degree gives our outstanding students.

  2. Jane Williams (1898 - c. 2016)

    Jane was a student at the F.L. Calder College of Domestic Science, one of LJMU’s historic colleges, where she qualified as a teacher. She went on to teach at schools in Wales thanks to a personal reference from Fanny Calder herself. Records from her life help to tell the significant history of LJMU as an institution that supports the training of teachers, always placing importance on providing education for all. The records are held within LJMU’s Special Collections and Archives.

  3. Maxine Sharples

    Maxine has come full circle since studying as an undergraduate student with LJMU to now working for her alma mater, Liverpool Business School. Alongside her day job, Maxine is a yoga instructor, running sessions with LJMU Sport and for the university’s menopause matters group.
