1. Menopause cafes throughout 2024

   This year we will once again host four menopause cafes for our staff, with the first taking place on Tuesday 16 January, and anyone wishing to attend can book via the staff wellbeing events page.

2. Data protection related policy updates

   Four data protection related policies have been updated and can now be found on the LJMU Policy Centre.

3. UKRI open access policy changes from 1 January 2024

   The open access policy applies to monographs, book chapters and edited collections associated with UKRI funding published from 1 January 2024.

4. Finance policy updates

   The University Financial Regulations and other supporting policies have received important updates. Read the latest from Finance Director Hannah Argo.

5. Staff Qualifications and Health and Safety policy updates

   A number of LJMU staff policies have been updated.

6. Menopause cafes to take place in person throughout 2023

   To keep conversations moving forward around the menopause, dates in January, April, July and October 2023 have been set for the next four menopause cafes.

7. New Researcher Development Opportunities:Dates Worth Saving

   New, exciting researcher development opportunities will be on offer over the coming months. Available only for limited numbers of researchers, it’s worth ‘saving the dates’.

8. Health and safety code of practice updates

   Two of our health and safety codes of practice and have updated and can be accessed on the Policy Centre.

9. Research active staff urged to join focus groups

   Research active staff are being invited, by the LJMU Concordat Steering Group, to participate in a focus group on the research environment and culture at LJMU.
