4. Whitechapel Christmas Appeal shows caring side of LJMU

   Thanks to the generosity of staff and students for the 2017 Whitechapel/LJMU Christmas Appeal, the University collected nearly 100 boxes of donations for homeless people and families in Liverpool.

5. Success for Team LJMU at BUCS Tournament

   Team LJMU has won three events at the British University and Colleges Sport Tournament earlier this month.

6. World Mental Health Day: LJMU outlines commitment to mental health and suicide prevention

   Thursday 10 October is World Mental Health Day and LJMU is raising awareness of all aspects of mental health and wellbeing, including suicide prevention, by outlining the support and resources available at the university for students and staff.

7. Tate Liverpool and LJMU host major Keith Haring conference

   On Thursday 7th and Friday 8th November Tate Liverpool is hosting a two-day conference in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University, on the occasion of the Keith Haring exhibition. Conveners: Dr Michael Birchall and Dr Emma Vickers.

8. LJMU celebrates international scholarship students

   Seven international scholarship students have joined LJMU this academic year after receiving the prestigious international Chevening and GREAT scholarships.

9. Can you support Clearing 2024?

   LJMU is looking for staff to help recruit students to LJMU during Clearing 2024 on Thursday 15 August.

10. LJMU Climate Research Institute

    Staff are invited to attend a second workshop focussed on the proposed LJMU Climate Research Institute. It follows the successful design sprint session held in December, in which colleagues with research interests in the area met to begin scoping out the planned institute.
