1. Health graduates proud to join NHS in its 75th year

   LJMU’s latest Faculty of Health graduates had cause for double celebration today as they officially picked up their qualifications in the same month that the NHS turned 75.

   The UK Malaysia University Consortium (UK-MUC) Secretariat based in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at LJMU, together with Education Malaysia London (EML) hosted the UK-MUC Celebratory Event & EXCEL Workshop at the High Commission of Malaysia in London on Monday 27 March 2023 to mark the one year anniversary of the Consortium.

5. England Rugby utilise the world-class facilities at LJMU's School of Sport and Exercise Sciences

   In preparation for this year's World Cup, England Head Coach Eddie Jones brought the Northern-based players of his squad to LJMU to utilise the state-of-the-art sport science facilities.

8. Sport science knowledge exchange with former PhD student

   LJMU’s School of Sport and Exercise Sciences recently welcomed former PhD student Dr Niels Feddersen on to campus for a research and knowledge exchange visit.

9. Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences awards 2023 research grant to LJMU academic

   Dr Nick Dawnay from the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences has been awarded a £10K in support of a project looking to develop eDNA methods to support wildlife forensic investigations.

10. Major new joint research project will focus on mental health of jockeys and staff in the horse racing industry

    LJMU, Racing Welfare and the BHA will be carrying out a major new piece of research into the provision of mental health services across horse racing.
