6. Dr Alan Bury recognised for twenty year contribution to maritime education

   Dr Alan Bury, Senior Teaching Fellow from the School of Engineering has been awarded the Merchant Navy Medal for Meritorious Service by Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal.

7. LJMU ranks in top 60 UK universities for Sustainable Development Goals

   Liverpool John Moores University has ranked 301st to 400th internationally in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, for its commitment to the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The rankings also place LJMU in the top 60 UK universities and top six universities in the North West
