1. University Seal request form update

   The Secretariat has updated the request form to incorporate the additional stages of approval required from colleagues in finance and legal.

2. New Reading List Management System Launched.

   In January 2015 Library Services piloted the use of a reading list management system, Rebus:List with 27 academics across the University with a soft launch that Summer.

3. Liverpool John Moores University celebrates a week’s worth of Graduations

   Liverpool John Moores University is celebrating after a wonderful week of graduation ceremonies at the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, in which more than 4,000 students graduated across 18 ceremonies, including 96 members of staff.

4. LJMU jumps 16 places in Sunday Times Good University Guide

   Liverpool John Moores University has jumped 16 places in the latest Sunday Times Good University Guide.

5. LJMU celebrates first anniversary of UK Malaysia University Consortium

   The UK Malaysia University Consortium (UK-MUC) Secretariat based in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at LJMU, together with Education Malaysia London (EML) hosted the UK-MUC Celebratory Event & EXCEL Workshop at the High Commission of Malaysia in London on Monday 27 March 2023 to mark the one year anniversary of the Consortium.

6. Law school run half marathon for Whitechapel Centre

   Eight students and staff from the School of Law laced up their trainers and ran the Liverpool half marathon on Sunday 27 March, in aid of local homeless and housing charity the Whitechapel Centre.

7. LJMU and Unite Students host inaugural 'Living Black at University' symposium

   A 'research into action symposium' has been held at LJMU. The event, organised by LJMU Associate Deans: Diversity and Inclusion, explored and shared the experiences of Black students at university and discussed how to turn the research into positive action.

8. People with a passion for higher education needed for LJMU governor roles

   LJMU is currently recruiting for three vacancies on its Board of Governors.

9. School of Justice Studies hosts students from Singapore University of Social Sciences

   The two-week summer school helped broaden the understanding of policing and the criminal justice system.

10. LJMU signs up to the University Mental Health Charter

    Over 60 universities across the country have signed up to be part of the Student Minds’ University Mental Health Charter Framework to support universities across the UK in making mental health a university-wide priority.
