Liverpool John Moores University’s ambitious plans to transform a disused city centre site into state-of-the-art student facilities have been given the go-ahead. Liverpool City Council’s Planning Committee today (Tuesday 9 October) approved the plans for the former Royal Mail site on Copperas Hill.

On Saturday 2nd March, LJMU held its annual Northern Ireland Applicant Day in the Hilton Hotel Belfast.
Renowned for their noiseless dive, the kingfisher’s iconic beak-shape has inspired the design of high speed bullet trains. Now scientists have tested beak-shape among some of the birds’ 114 species found world-wide, to assess which shape is the most hydrodynamic.
The university sent more than sixty staff and students to Belfast welcoming more than 700 visitors to two applicant events.
LJMU has achieved world-leading status in the latest assessment of university research, with the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences 0.01 marks off the top position in the UK.
