1. £575k boost for student mental health provision in Liverpool

   A partnership featuring Liverpool John Moores University has been awarded £575k worth of funding from the Office for Students for a project to further develop mental health provision for students across Liverpool.

   LJMU is celebrating 20 years of its Start-up Hub this month which has helped over 1,000 businesses and is estimated to have contributed over £20 million in income to the Liverpool City Region economy each year.

4. Career Tips: How to make the most out of the Final Year Support and Jobs Fair

   The Final Year Support and Jobs Fair takes place on Wednesday 21 February from 11am to 2pm at the Student Life Building and is aimed at final year students who want to get a head start on graduation and take care of their next steps. These are our tips on how to make the most of the fair.

5. Student Information System Upgrade

   The University’s Student Information System (SIS) is being upgraded. SIS will be unavailable during the upgrade, from 5pm on Thursday 21st November until 8am on Tuesday 26th November.

6. Praise for policing student who goes above and beyond

   A first year policing student has gone above and beyond during her first week at LJMU by helping a total stranger on a night out.

7. Cook Together: Two more free lunches this February

   As part of LJMU’s support with the rising cost of living, LJMU is offering free lunches every Friday throughout February as part of our Cook Together initiative.
