3. Graduate and Placement Jobs Fair

   The Graduate and Placement Jobs Fair takes place on Wednesday 18 October at the Student Life Building, 12-3pm. It will feature 60+ organisations from a range of sectors looking to hire students from across all courses and disciplines. 4. Student Spotlight: Abbie Romano

   The representations of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) roles is improving, but there’s work to be done. As of 2018, WISE Campaign (Women into Science and Engineering) announced that the UK is on track to have one million women working in the field by 2020. These statistics are encouraging, and demonstrate an improvement in opportunities shown to young women who pursue the career path.

5. Contract signed to deliver major Copperas Hill scheme

   Morgan Sindall Construction has signed a contract to deliver Liverpool John Moores University’s landmark new development on Copperas Hill.

6. Triple win for Nursing and Advanced Practice students

   Three students from the School of Nursing and Allied Health have won awards at the Patient Experience Network (PEN) National Awards 2023.
