This was the subject of a fascinating lecture on the cosmos and the universe in the latest Roscoe lecture at St Georges Hall, delivered by Monica Grady, Professor of Planetary and Space Sciences at the Open University (OU)

3. Student nurses train in the community in new Mersey Care partnership

   Ten trainee nurses will work alongside district and community nurses over the next year as part of a new internship scheme aimed at supporting direct career pathways into the community health sector.

4. Lecturer's theatre show opens

   A production by an LJMU lecturer, based on the lived experiences of children who have a parent in prison, opens in theatres this month.

5. Knowsley Parent Power group visit LJMU

   The outreach team, in collaboration with Shaping Futures and The Brilliant Club welcomed the Knowsley Parent Power group onto campus to experience Higher Education and university life.
