2. Police and LJMU welcome first degree apprentices

   Merseyside Police and LJMU have welcomed their first cohort of degree apprenticeship trainees.

3. More than 100 students take part in 24-hour CPR charity event

   144 students and staff have raised almost £3,000 at a charity event for the North West Air Ambulance Charity.

   LJMU has created five Associate Dean positions across the faculties and one for Professional Services to support the university in driving forward the EDI agenda.

5. Tate Liverpool and LJMU host major Keith Haring conference

   On Thursday 7th and Friday 8th November Tate Liverpool is hosting a two-day conference in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University, on the occasion of the Keith Haring exhibition. Conveners: Dr Michael Birchall and Dr Emma Vickers.

6. Apprenticeships and Student Governance policy updates

   The new Apprenticeships Policy has received Academic Board approval and 20 Student Governance policies, guidance and pro forma have recently been reviewed, and have received minor amendments.

7. Absolute Chemistry research inspiring the next generation of scientists

   This British Science Week we’re shining a spotlight on our Absolute Chemistry research which aims to foster chemical curiosity by raising aspirations in a range of learners, including children who have grown up in social deprivation.

8. LJMU staff celebrated for their 1315 years of long service

   33 members of staff have been celebrated for working at the university for 25, 35, 45 or 50 years.

9. LJMU launches pioneering scheme with senior Black leaders from across the Liverpool City Region

   The launch of the programme, yesterday evening at Liverpool John Moores University, saw the 26 leaders finding out who they had been paired with.

10. Foodbanks and schools benefit from LJMU PC donations

    Local foodbanks and schools are among the organisations benefiting from recycled computer equipment donated by Liverpool John Moores University.
