1. Ten students spend life changing summer in Nepal

   The ten students and now LJMU graduates, visited Nepal for a month-long Turing funded trip, working on the Dignity Without Danger (DWD) research project.

5. Applications open for Research England Policy Support Fund

   LJMU is being allocated funding from the Research England Policy Support Fund (PSF) to support the development of impactful research and engagement activities. Applications of up to £10,000 will be considered and applicants have until 5pm on Monday 10 October 2022 to make a submission.

6. Annual survey and audit of teaching space to take place this February

   The survey will be conducted between the hours of 9am and 5pm from Monday 5 to Friday 9 February 2024.

7. National Eye Health Week 18 - 24 September

   We are promoting the importance of good eye health, sharing important eye care advice to encourage adopting healthy habits and highlighting the need for regular eye tests.

8. Advance HE Aurora Programme final days to apply

   LJMU staff are reminded that the application deadline for the Advance HE Aurora Programme, a leadership development initiative for women, is Friday 4 November 2022.

9. Changes to the Leadership and Development Foundation

   The Leadership and Development Foundation is undergoing some changes to better support all staff development across the whole of LJMU.

10. Teaching staff urged to sign-up for My Pensions Online

    The start of the academic year can be a good time to review your pension arrangements. All academic teaching staff are reminded that they can sign-up to an online portal if they are members of the Teachers Pension Scheme.
