2. LJMU takes handover of landmark Copperas Hill development

   Liverpool John Moores University has taken handover of its landmark new development on Copperas Hill. Contractor Morgan Sindall Construction has reached practical completion of the three and a half acre site in the heart of the city centre.

3. Young people benefit from LJMU residential

   LJMU Outreach has welcomed 25 young people from 12 schools across the North West to its annual Year 10 residential, targeted specifically at those in local authority or residential care.

4. Responding to our Community and Neighbourhoods

   LJMU is proud of its place in Liverpool and we are at the beating heart of almost everything that happens in the region.  However, with that presence comes a responsibility to be mindful and aware of our potential impact. In partnership with the other universities in the city, LJMU has embarked on a number of initiatives to work with local residents.

6. Introducing eco-friendly search engine Ecosia

   In support of JMSUs Sustainability Week taking place from next Monday, 3 February, the university will be trialling a new eco-friendly default internet search engine.

8. Top tips for your first two weeks at university

   Emily Roxbee Cox graduated from LJMU in 2020 with a degree in sport and exercise science and is now President of your students' union, JMSU. Here are her tips and advice for those first two weeks at university. 

9. Christmas closure and support services over the festive break

   The university will close at 5pm on Thursday 23 December and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 4 January. The Student Life Building will be open 24/7 throughout the festive break including on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
