1. LJMU Wellbeing Week 11th – 15th March.

   We have a full week of activities which draw attention to the importance of wellbeing and provides an opportunity for staff and students to try out new approaches to staying healthy and happy.

3. Vice-Chancellor appointed Chairman of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic

   LJMU Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive, Professor Nigel Weatherill, has been appointed Chairman of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. The announcement of Professor Weatherill’s appointment as Chair for an initial three-year term has been made following approval of the recommendation by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Board of Directors.

4. LJMU Honorary Fellow John Bishop speaks to Screen School students

   LJMU Honorary Fellow John Bishop came to the University to speak to Screen School students about his career and offer advice on how to succeed in the media industry.

5. Third generation of family graduates from LJMU

   Kezia attended her graduation, with her dad and grandma, at Liverpool Cathedral this week as she received her Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), making her the third generation of her family to graduate from the university.

6. Wellbeing journals: order copies for your new students

   Copies of the new wellbeing journal are now available and staff are encouraged to order copies for their students.

7. Figure out your timetables

   Info about understanding your timetables, where to find them and when you'll be able to see them.

8. Register to attend the Research and Knowledge Exchange Conference

   All staff are invited to attend the Research and Knowledge Exchange Conference 2023, taking place in December.

9. Update to IT services: IT disruption expected Saturday 24 August

   As part of LJMU security upgrades, key platforms including Canvas, Staff Infobase and parts of the LJMU website will be unavailable on 24 August.

10. Academic Board Elections - Non-Teaching Staff

    Following the call for nominations, an election for the non-teaching member of staff on Academic Board will take place.
