1. Reportable Events Policy update

   Amendments are in line with the latest Office for Students (OfS) guidance.

2. Academic Registry invigilation training

   Training sessions will be held via Microsoft Teams throughout April and will cover the main aspects of the role of invigilators, including responsibilities prior to, during and following the completion of the examination.

   Professor of Applied Sport and Exercise Science, Greg Whyte OBE, accompanied Jo Brand on her ‘Hell of a Walk’.

   Read how Dr Zhigang Ji and Dr Trung Thanh Nguyen from the LJMU Department of Maritime and Mechanical Engineering have been shortlisted for the 2017 Newton Prize.

5. In memoriam Dr Alistair Beere

   Dr Alistair Beere passed away at the end of August and his funeral arrangements have been shared by his family.

6. New workplace milk initiative

   Staff can now order milk through Catering Services for their team to collect once a week.

7. Alleged Misconduct in Research and Knowledge Exchange Policy now approved

   The policy can be accessed via the LJMU Policy Centre.

8. Why the menopause matters and workplace support at LJMU

   For the past two years, colleagues across LJMU have been working to better understand and recognise the type of support needed by those experiencing the menopause, and to devise ways to create greater awareness across the organisation.

9. Academic Registry Roadshows February and March

   The Student Governance Team will deliver the next roadshow on Friday 24 February, Redmonds Building 2.33 and Registry Services will deliver a session on Tuesday 7 March, SLB 3.02.
