1. Senior Lecturer wins Royal College of Nursing Award

   Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing, Ebenezer Banahene, has won the North West award for Outstanding Contribution to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion from the Royal College of Nursing.

2. LJMU to support 80th anniversary commemorations of the Battle of the Atlantic

   Eighty years on from victory in the Atlantic, LJMU is set to commemorate Liverpool’s contributions to the Battle of the Atlantic, as well as its enduring maritime ties as the university itself marks a significant anniversary.

   Students and staff have marked Remembrance 2023 by supporting the RBL Poppy Appeal, taking part in acts of Remembrance, and showcasing research.

6. Transformative criminological research celebrated at FACT 20th anniversary

   Dr Emma Murray, a Reader in Military Veteran Studies, has been collaborating with FACT since 2014 and in 2019 became FACT’s Criminologist-in-Residence.

   Final year undergraduates can help raise money for a fantastic local charity by taking part in a short national survey.

8. Rio's goal to remove barriers surrounding disabilities within sport

   Second Year Sport Business student, Rio Boothe, is partnering with charities in the North West to raise awareness around the barriers surrounding disabilities and para sport.

9. LJMU celebrate Chemistry Week with neurodiverse learners

   Staff and students from across Outreach, Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies and Faculty of Science joined forces with neurodiverse learners to celebrate Chemistry Week 2023.

10. International Scholarships awarded to 16 students

    16 students were presented with their international scholarships this week at a reception in the Student Life Building.
