It is with great sadness that the university marks the passing of Lady Grantchester, Honorary Fellow, and eldest daughter of the university namesake the late Sir John Moores.
LJMU has the highest number of Hubble Fellowships in the UK, as one of their latest awards goes to an Astrophysics Research Institute student straight out of her PhD. Dr Emma Beasor was also the only UK student awarded a Fellowship this year.
LJMU has been awarded a share of £6.1 million by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) to develop new and enhanced higher education courses.
