1. Liverpool and Togo to forge vital links

   The Ambassador of Togo visited LJMU recently to establish academic, research and business links between LJMU and Liverpool city region and the Universities and businesses in Togo.

2. Civil Engineering student nominated for Undergraduate Award

   Ria Mistry, a second year Civil Engineering student at LJMU, beat off tough competition to make the shortlist out of almost 4,000 undergraduate students.

3. Art on Merseyside celebrated on campus

   LJMU hosted charity Arts Friends Merseyside in recognition of the organisation’s dedication to the arts in the region, while celebrating LJMU's art collections.

4. Visit to House of Lords to discuss how to support disabled graduates

   Keren Coney, Careers Adviser in Student Advancement: LJMU's Careers, Employability and Enterprise Service, was thrilled to go to the House of Lords to meet with Lord Shinkwin to discuss how to support disabled graduates as they seek to enter the workplace.

5. Order wellbeing journals for your students

   Copies of the wellbeing journal can be ordered by staff for students.

6. Update to IT services: IT disruption expected Saturday 24 August

   As part of LJMU security upgrades, key platforms including Canvas, Staff Infobase and parts of the LJMU website will be unavailable on 24 August.

9. New performance review and development system

   Following a successful pilot scheme, from next week all staff will be able to access a brand new system to take ownership of their development and objective.

10. Academic Registry results notification briefings

    Two Microsoft Teams sessions will take place later this month to assist LJMU administrative staff involved with the pre and post board of examiner process, including results notification.
