1. New role to lead LiRICS

   In line with its Climate Action Plan, LJMU has confirmed additional strategic investment in a new role to lead the Liverpool Research Institute for Climate and Sustainability (LiRICS).

2. Making Every Contact Count training January

   Staff are invited to take part in a Making Every Contact Count training day on Monday 15 January.

3. Summer building opening times

   LJMU will move to its summer building opening hours from Monday 24 June.

4. Restrictions on using USBs for students and staff

   From 4 September students will be no longer able to use USB storage devices on LJMU equipment. This is alongside the restrictions already in place for staff.

6. LJMU scientist wins silver award in Parliament

   Dr Claire Burke, an Astro-ecologist at LJMU’s Astrophysics Research Institute, was awarded the silver prize for physical sciences in Parliament at STEM for BRITAIN.

7. Making Every Contact Count training day

   This mental health training will take place on Tuesday 10 October, 9.30am to 3pm, Exchange Station G20 and 21.
