  1. Rationale for the network and further information

    The DisSPA network aims to provide a transdisciplinary space to connect members and allies who advocate for, and collaborate to, enhance the provision of more inclusive and empowering sport and physical activity opportunities for people with disability.

  2. Physical Literacy staff

    This project aims to create a universal definition of physical literacy in England to hopefully catalyse efforts to adopt, support and promote physical literacy in practice.

  3. Aldham Robarts

    Aldham Robarts, an Honorary Fellow, trustee and passionate supporter of the university. Two out of LJMU’s three library spaces are named after Aldham and his wife Avril who generously made donations towards the building of both key student spaces after the incorporation of the university in the early ’90s.

  4. Lord Michael Heseltine

    Read the oration for Lord Michael Heseltine on the award of their Honorary Fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University presented by Dr Edward Harcourt.

  5. Ami Hopkins

    Ami is an engineer with a passion for sailing. She is a graduate of the university’s BSc (Hons) Product Innovation and Development programme and has since gone on to make history as a member of the first all-female team to win an around the world yacht race on the Maiden yacht.

  6. Lady Grantchester
