1. LJMU Cycling Club ride Liverpool to Paris distance in 24-hour fundraiser

   LJMU Cycling Club took part in a non-stop 24-hour ride last week, raising over £200 for the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

2. LJMU pledges to secure successful student futures at House of Commons

   22 universities, including Liverpool John Moores University and JMSU have pledged to develop a Student Futures Manifesto joint action between a university and its students to improve the student experience.

3. Happy Holi 2022

4. LJMU receives £1.3million for new STFC data science training centre

   Liverpool John Moores University, in partnership with the University of Liverpool, are set to host a new £1.3million Centre for Doctoral Training providing comprehensive postgraduate training in data intensive science.

5. MA Student shortlisted for ‘Tourism Young Person of the Year’

   LJMU student Victoria Smith, 24 was shortlisted for the Tourism Young Person of the Year award at this years Liverpool City Region Tourist Awards 2022. The awards, that took place at Liverpool Cathedral, saw businesses and guests from across Liverpool celebrating the city regions tourism sector.

6. Schoolgirl researchers visit world-class sport science labs

   The year 9 pupils from Liverpool's Holly Lodge Girls College spent two days working alongside world-class scientists in physiology, biomechanics and sport and exercise psychology, as well as current LJMU students, to gain expert insight into sport science research methodology.

7. This time last year LJMU student and now graduate Nathan Bickerton, went viral

   He was offered a job just fifteen minutes after creating a Wikipedia page and tweeting The Diary of a CEO host and BBC Dragon, Steven Bartlett. 9. Honour Based Abuse, Female Genital Mutilation and Forced Marriage conference held in partnership with Savera UK 

   LJMU equality and diversity team worked in partnership with SaveraUK to host an inspiring HBA, FGM and FM event in November 2019.

10. Graduation review: Wednesday 10 July

    Students from Liverpool Screen School, the School of Law, Liverpool School of Art and Design and the Liverpool Centre for Advanced Policing Studies received their awards.
