1. Student Information System Upgrade

   The University’s Student Information System (SIS) is being upgraded. SIS will be unavailable during the upgrade, from 5pm on Thursday 21st November until 8am on Tuesday 26th November.

2. LJMU Student Named in Merseyside's 30 Under 30

   Rio Boothe is one of the Liverpool Echo's 30 Under 30. The article, penned by LJMU Student Journalist Mackenzie Argent, celebrates Rio and 29 other individuals under the age of 30 who are making significant impacts in Merseyside.

3. Medallist returns from European Championships to graduate

   Sport Business student Rio Boothe has returned from the European Para Laser Run Championships to graduate in BA Sport Business.

4. Researchers launch 'world's most advanced nutritional' app

   PhD student David Dunne has worked with Harlequins, QPR and the Ryder Cup team to maximise the physical potential of athletes. Together with ex-PhD Sam Impey, David has raised £450k to launch training companion app Hexis, claimed to be the world's most intelligent nutrition system. He spoke to us to explain more.

8. In memoriam: His Honour Dr David Lynch

   LJMU is deeply saddened by the death of His Honour Dr David Lynch who had been a part of the fabric of the university and School of Law for over 50 years.

9. ARI creates simulation of the Universe with realistic galaxies

   An international team of astronomers, including Dr Rob Crain from the LJMU Astrophysics Research Institute (ARI), have developed a simulation of the Universe in which realistic galaxies are created. Astronomers can now use the results to study the development of galaxies from almost 14 billion years ago until now.
