4. LJMU fashion and broadcast staff raise career aspirations of local schoolchildren

   Cathy Reilly, fashion design and manufacture technologist, and Bradley Hessey, an experienced broadcast technologist , joined schoolchildren from St Leo’s School in Whiston during their Ambition Week.

5. Designs for inclusion: enhancing doctoral education programme

   Staff can sign-up for the programme delivered across two afternoons, 1pm to 4.30pm on Thursday 9 November and Wednesday 22 November.

8. Humanities PhD student awarded for outstanding paper

   Sean Creaney, a lecturer in Childhood and Youth Studies at Stockport College, who is currently studying for his PhD in the School of Humanities and Social Science, has just been awarded ‘Outstanding Paper’ in the 2015 Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence

9. World education for safe water resources

   Professor Rafid Al Khaddar recently became the 29th President of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM).

10. Undergraduate teacher training at LJMU comes top in the North West

    LJMU has been placed 5th best in the country and top in the North West for Undergraduate Initial Teacher Training (ITT) provision in the latest edition of the Good Teacher Training Guide.
