1. International student engagement and assessment policy updates

   Changes have been made to some LJMU staff policies.

2. University Seal request form update

   The Secretariat has updated the request form to incorporate the additional stages of approval required from colleagues in finance and legal.

3. New and improved LJMU Policy Centre

   The new policy centre has launched.

4. Chair and Panel Member Briefing Sessions

   Three in-person sessions are being offered in Exchange Station for academic colleagues who wish to become a Validation/Periodic Programme Review chair or panel member.

5. Join the alumni mentoring program

   LJMU Connect has launched the LJMU Mentoring Group to enable students, staff and alumni to develop meaningful mentoring connections within our LJMU community.

6. Silver Social Worker of the Year Award

   An LJMU Social Work student has received national recognition after winning a top prize at the prestigious Social Worker of the Year Awards.

7. Computer Science Christmas Social Event 2018

   LJMU Computer Science students attended the Department’s second annual Christmas Social Event on 12th December 2018

8. New Reading List Management System Launched.

   In January 2015 Library Services piloted the use of a reading list management system, Rebus:List with 27 academics across the University with a soft launch that Summer.

9. LJMU Wellbeing Week 11th – 15th March.

   We have a full week of activities which draw attention to the importance of wellbeing and provides an opportunity for staff and students to try out new approaches to staying healthy and happy.

10. Academic Board Elections - Teaching Staff

    Elections for the Academic Board teaching staff will take place from 24th May until 11th June 2019.
