1. Staff Governor voting now open

   All Professional Services staff have until 5pm on Monday 27 March to vote for their preferred Staff Governor candidate.

2. LJMU launches University Funded Diversity and Inclusion Scheme

   LJMU is providing grants to academic staff, students, and professional services staff, to work on research across the university related to Diversity and Inclusion.

3. Triple win for Nursing and Advanced Practice students

   Three students from the School of Nursing and Allied Health have won awards at the Patient Experience Network (PEN) National Awards 2023.

   Following the call for nominations, eight candidates are standing for election, with the election period opening on Monday 5 June and running until Monday 19 June.

5. Are you ready for National Student Money Week?

   During week commencing Monday 3 February 2020, LJMU will be taking part in National Student Money Week. The theme for this year is 'Spend Healthy, Live Healthy: Sustainable Money' and during the week we will focus on reducing waste and saving money.

   A project is underway to ship LJMU microscopes to Africa.

   This March is Student Voice Month and we are asking staff to encourage all students to share their feedback and suggestions about studying at LJMU.

9. Extra Security is coming – Get Ready!

   LJMU will soon be bringing in additional security to protect everyone’s data, with the introduction of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to some online services.

10. LJMU Head of Journalism joins UK Government’s Media Literacy Taskforce

    Fran Yeoman, Head of Journalism in the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies, has been appointed to the UK Governments Media Literacy Taskforce Steering Board.
