   LJMU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nigel Weatherill, has been made Deputy Lieutenant in the County of Merseyside, recognising his contribution to the region

5. Over 15,000 LJMU students set to graduate this summer

   Liverpool Anglican Cathedral is set to play host to over 4,000 students next week for the first round of LJMU graduation ceremonies taking place this summer

6. Bicentenary branded templates and assets

   To celebrate this special milestone year, we’ve added a range of branded templates and assets to our brand and design hub for all staff to access and use throughout the year.

7. New website course search function

   This week marks the launch of an exciting new development to our website. A project group have been working with an external agency (Sagittarius) to improve the course search function.

8. New Staff Gardening Group

   The School of Biological & Environmental Sciences has been working on a project to improve Byrom Street Campus with 10 urban wildlife gardens.

9. International Welcome starts this week

   This is the first bespoke welcome programme catered for International New Arrivals.

10. Roscoe Lecture Review: Baroness Helena Kennedy QC

    One of the UK’s most distinguished lawyers and human rights champions Helena Kennedy QC, delivered the 124th Roscoe Lecture at St George’s Hall, as she took the audience through the search for justice in an unjust world.
