   LJMU’s Honorary Fellow, Brian May and former JMSU President, Sam Davys, make 2023 Honours List.

2. Eight students compete in Archon University Fitness League

   Eight LJMU students took part in an Archon Fittest Universities Event in Birmingham earlier this month, with student Jordan McCarthy placing first across the leaderboard in the STRONG category.

3. LJMU becomes accredited Living Wage employer

   LJMU has become the first University in the city and the largest employer in Liverpool to be accredited as a Living Wage employer.

6. LJMU 2nd in Uni Compare Top 100 University Rankings

   LJMU has risen two places in the overall rankings and is placed in the top 10 for its accommodation, course quality, employability and student life.

7. Staff and community partners celebrate LGBT History Month

   To mark LGBT HIstory Month, LJMU Together (the University's LGBT+ Staff Network) organised a social event on Friday 22nd February featuring talks and a chance to play 'Psychic Bingo' with Liverpool's Lady Seanne.

9. Staff car parking update August 2023

   The university will continue to subsidise staff car parking until 31 August 2024.

10. Applications open for Research England Policy Support Fund

    LJMU is being allocated funding from the Research England Policy Support Fund (PSF) to support the development of impactful research and engagement activities. Applications of up to £10,000 will be considered and applicants have until 5pm on Monday 10 October 2022 to make a submission.
