1. Chair and Panel Member Briefing Sessions

   Three in-person sessions are being offered in Exchange Station for academic colleagues who wish to become a Validation/Periodic Programme Review chair or panel member.

2. Bonobos share and share alike

   Bonobos are willing to share meat with animals outside their own family groups. This behaviour was observed in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and is documented in a new study in Springer’s journal Human Nature

3. New devices to record student attendance

   A large number of new devices have been installed across two of our campuses to record student attendance.

4. More than 100 students take part in 24-hour CPR charity event

   144 students and staff have raised almost £3,000 at a charity event for the North West Air Ambulance Charity.

6. Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in Research and Knowledge Exchange

   Nominations for the Vice-Chancellors Awards for Excellence in Research and Knowledge Exchange 2021 are now open.

7. Free health and wellbeing merchandise for staff

   T-shirts, outerwear, mugs and water bottles are now available to help staff get talking and thinking about their health and wellbeing.

8. Training for managers: disabilities and long-term health conditions, including mental health

   LJMU’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team, are proud to be working in partnership with coaching and training specialists; Result CIC (Community Interest Company) and are pleased to offer LJMU Managers, Programme Leaders and Personal Tutors (those directly responsible for staff/students) the opportunity to participate in a half day Training for Managers of Staff with Disabilities & Long-Term Health Conditions Including Mental Health, workshop.
