   This month Liverpool will play host to a swathe of commemorative events marking its links with WWII’s Battle of the Atlantic, 80 years on. LJMU’s staff and students across its Drama, History and Maritime programmes will play a role in marking this milestone anniversary

5. New film celebrates 200 years of LJMU in 90 seconds

   The film - LJMU 200 - celebrates the roots of the institution founded in 1823 and how it has become the modern university that it is today in its bicentenary year.

6. Bicentenary year gets underway

   As our 200th year gets underway, we are excited to celebrate with you, our students and our staff, and there will be opportunities throughout the year for you to get involved.

7. LJMU backing new computer games industry forum

   Liverpool's famous games industry is to get a boost from experts at Liverpool John Moores University as it hosts the first industry networking event

8. Drama students tell untold stories of the women behind Operation Raspberry

   Thirteen second-year Drama students from Liverpool Screen School have, in collaboration with History academics and students from the School of Humanities and Social Science, produced an original show to be performed during anniversary events across the city in May.

9. Volunteer at our March graduation ceremonies

   Staff are needed to usher graduands and guests, and to carry out other duties at the Anglican Cathedral during our March ceremonies this bicentenary year.
