   The National Student Survey (NSS) 2024 will launch next month.

2. LJMU flying high in rankings for student satisfaction

   LJMU has leapt up a host of rankings tables for student satisfaction.

3. New Subcontracting Policy approved

   The approved Subcontracting Policy sets out the requirement for subcontracting provision for degree apprenticeships delivered across the university.

5. Open Research Week 2024

   Open Research Week 2024 is a collaborative event by LJMU, Edge Hill University, University of Liverpool, and the University of Essex from Monday 26 February to Friday 1 March.

6. Audit and Risk Policy update

   The Engagement of External Auditors for Non-Audit Work Policy has been revised.

7. Celebrating Cultures Event

   The celebrating cultures event this year had India, China, Canada, Pakistan, Colombia, Nepal, England, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lesotho, Scotland, Vietnam, Nigeria, Indonesia, Greece, Italy, Bangladesh, Switzerland, Iran, Somalia and Brazil being represented. Following this event, an international student wrote a reflection on their experience in participating.

8. Student finance reminder

   If you are an undergraduate student and are continuing on your course in September 2019, don’t forget to reapply for your student finance as soon as possible.

9. Data protection related policy updates

   Four data protection related policies have been updated and can now be found on the LJMU Policy Centre.

10. Apprenticeships and Student Governance policy updates

    The new Apprenticeships Policy has received Academic Board approval and 20 Student Governance policies, guidance and pro forma have recently been reviewed, and have received minor amendments.
