   Tim Nichol met with the Prime Minister of Vietnam at the weekend as LJMU sealed a partnership with one of the country's up-and-coming universities.

4. Grad Fest 2019 – event for final year students on 3 April

   Grad Fest 2019 is a new event for final year students at LJMU, taking place on 3 April from 2pm-7pm at the John Lennon Art and Design Building.

5. Free winter flu jabs for staff

   As part of our commitment to employee wellbeing, we are again offering staff vouchers for a free winter flu jab.

6. Liverpool leaders share learnings from Reciprocal Mentoring

   The project, which began 14 months ago, saw leaders from across LJMU’s ELT paired with Black and ethnic minority Liverpool city leaders to share their lived experiences and inform policy and decision making at the university and beyond.

7. LJMU leading the way in the use of VR in business education

   Academics from Liverpool Business School have used the immersive learning techniques on modules within the MSc Management and Digital Business programme.

8. The ‘Green Hell’ of our ancestors

   Tropical rainforests were once thought unliveable but scientists, including Liverpool John Moores University’s Professor Chris Hunt, are showing that our human ancestors lived in these conditions, and in fact the forests themselves are long-term documents of human action.

9. LJMU lecturer and terrorism expert advises Police on anti-terror policies

   LJMU is proving to be a pioneering voice in shaping police policy around terrorism and protecting young people from radicalisation in the region. Dr David Lowe, senior lecturer at the School of Law and leading expert on counter-terrorism has been working closely with Merseyside Police HQ, presenting at their recent Prevent Seminar, while assisting with guidance on law and policy issues more generally.
