Liverpool John Moores University is keen to support the Government and the Liverpool City region Devolution Deal. Overall we see this as a positive step forward for the City Region.
Creative Writing Lecturer, Andrew McMillan, has become the first poet to win the Guardian First Book Award with Physical, a ‘breathtaking’ collection that explores modern male anxiety in settings from the gym to northern industrial towns.
Shakespeare; creative genius, wordsmith and innovator, was also a man of the people. His influence on the English language has stood the test of time, and lines such as ‘in a nutshell,’ ‘mum's the word,’ ‘eaten out of house and home,’ ‘all's well that ends well" and ‘a wild goose chase’ are just some of those in common, everyday usage.
