1. ITV invites students to work on hit medical drama Maternal

   Film, media and writing students work up to two months in partnership with ITV and Liverpool Film School

2. Public Health Institute and Drama students create educational film on gang-related violence

   LJMU Drama students have joined forces with LJMUs Public Health Institute to create an educational film helping NHS staff deal with the consequences of gang-related violence in hospitals.

3. Chief Constable annual lecture

   A packed theatre listened to Sir Jon Murphy QPM deliver his third state of the city lecture, which this year focused on the question, 'Is there a future for neighbourhood policing?' The event was organised by the Liverpool Centre for Advanced Policing Studies.

4. Audit and Risk Policy update

   The Engagement of External Auditors for Non-Audit Work Policy has been revised.

5. Health and Safety policy updates

   A number of Health and Safety policies have been amended and approved by the Health and Safety Committee.

6. New Open Access Policy

   LJMU has published a new Open Access Publication Policy for its staff.

7. Positive response to Actus staff development platform

   There has been an extremely positive response from staff to the introduction of Actus, our new system to support development and performance.

8. Framework for Academic Quality and Standards Policy update

   This staff policy has had a minor amendment.

9. Employability showcase for APSS

   A host of businesses and organisations have praised LJMU’s commitment to student employability.

10. Sharing the latest digital technology

    An amazing sample of some of the very latest digital technology from LJMU was on public display recently at Liverpool Medical Institution, at the recent LJMU and LMI Tech Event.
