   LJMU is providing grants to academic staff, students, and professional services staff, to work on research across the university related to Diversity and Inclusion.

   LLJMU and the University of Liverpool and have been awarded £1m for a new Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in data intensive science.

8. Chief Constable of Merseyside Police joins LJMU

   Sir Jon Murphy, the Chief Constable of Merseyside Police, who retires this month after a career of more than 40 years as a serving police officer, is to join LJMU’s Centre for Advanced Policing Studies as Professor of Advanced Policing Studies.
